1 Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

• "Platform" refers to the Sl.Thane.Estate website and all associated services.
• "User" refers to any individual or entity who accesses or uses the Platform.
• "Seller" refers to a User who posts listings or advertisements on the Platform.
• "Buyer" refers to a User who browses, inquires about, or purchases items through the Platform.
• "Listing" or "Ad" refers to any post, advertisement, or content published on the Platform by a Seller.
• "Content" refers to all text, images, videos, and other materials posted on the Platform.

2 Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, posting an ad, or otherwise using Sl.Thane.Estate, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform or sending an email. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

3 Account Registration

To post ads or access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
• Keep your password secure and confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or security breach.
• Not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes or to circumvent restrictions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or provide false information.

4 Posting Listings

By posting an ad on Sl.Thane.Estate, you agree to the following:

• All information in your listing must be accurate, truthful, and not misleading.
• You must have the legal right to sell or advertise the item or service.
• Listings must be placed in the appropriate category.
• You may not post duplicate listings for the same item.
• All images must be authentic and accurately represent the item.
• You may not use the Platform to advertise illegal goods, services, or activities.
• We reserve the right to remove, edit, or reject any listing at our discretion without prior notice.

5 Prohibited Items & Activities

The following items and activities are strictly prohibited on Sl.Thane.Estate:

• Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and drug paraphernalia.
• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or hazardous materials.
• Counterfeit goods, pirated software, or stolen property.
• Human trafficking, prostitution, or escort services.
• Animals protected under wildlife conservation laws.
• Financial instruments, securities, or investment schemes.
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) or pyramid schemes.
• Content that promotes hate speech, violence, discrimination, or harassment.
• Spam, phishing, malware, or any malicious content.
• Any item or service that violates the laws of Sri Lanka.

Violations will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

6 User Conduct

All users must conduct themselves in a lawful and respectful manner. You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purpose.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation.
• Collect or harvest personal information of other users without consent.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform or attempt to breach security.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform.
• Post false, defamatory, or misleading reviews or ratings.

7 Transactions & Payments

Sl.Thane.Estate is a classifieds marketplace that connects buyers and sellers. We do not:

• Process payments between buyers and sellers.
• Guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any item or service.
• Provide buyer protection, seller protection, or dispute resolution services.
• Verify the identity, background, or trustworthiness of users.

All transactions are conducted directly between users. We strongly encourage users to exercise caution, inspect items in person, and use secure payment methods. Sl.Thane.Estate is not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from user transactions.

8 Intellectual Property

All content on the Sl.Thane.Estate platform, including logos, branding, text, graphics, and software, is the property of Sl.Thane.Estate or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

By posting content on the Platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

9 Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.

By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sl.Thane.Estate and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Platform.
• Any disputes, losses, or damages resulting from transactions between users.
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
• Any errors, viruses, or harmful components transmitted through the Platform.

This limitation applies regardless of whether the damages were foreseeable or whether we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

11 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sl.Thane.Estate and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Platform or any content you post.
• Any transaction or interaction with other users.
• Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
• Your infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

12 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.

Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, indemnification, and intellectual property) shall remain in effect.

13 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
